  1. I have a Cisco/Linksys Wireless-N Internet Home Monitoring Camera (Model WVC80N) going through my Cisco router (WRT400N, dual band). The camera supplies 2 streams (MPEG-4 & MJPEG). Within VLC, I know how to view the 2 streams:

    Media; Open Network
    for MPEG4 stream
    Address: http://192.168.0.199/img/video.asf
    OR for MJPEG stream
    Address: http://192.168.0.199/img/video.mjpeg

But I have a link in my website for others to view via a web browser. That works fine. My link can be to the home page of the camera (http://<ip>), or to the video stream (http://<ip>/img/main.cgi?next_file=main.htm). When I do this, I seem to get the MJPEG stream. But I want the MPEG4 stream. How do I do that?

I’m a real newbie & don’t understand a lot of the jargon so please keep that in mind if you reply. Thanks.

Can't you adjust it in the web interface setting ( http://192.168.0.199 )?

See for example http://downloads.linksysbycisco.com/downloads/userguide/WVC80N_V10_UG_NC-WEB.pdf (page 14)

  3. Seems that should work, but those icons do not appear for me. Here's a print screen. Hope you can see it ... don't know how to make it bigger. Is there a way to tell it to include those icons? Thanks.
