  1. I am ripping my blurays for viewing my htpc with xbmc.
I use aiseesoft bluray ripper. It works fine but I am a bit confused with the multitude of output choices.
My main problem is with the audio part. It seems that eventhough I output to 5.1 channel the file plays only in stereo.
Any advice on how to set up the output file?

  2. Don't be surprised if no one offers any suggestions. If so, it will be because hardly (?) anyone here uses that software. Most members here use either AnyDVDHD or DVDFab/DVDFabPasskey for decrypting Blu-Rays.

So are you just ripping (decrypting and copying to hard drive) or are you encoding to smaller size or alternate container with this program as well? Lots of excellent encoding programs available here, many of them free.

Anyway, is there no option for exact copy?
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

Exact copy means copying the blu-ray exactly as the oridinal to hard drive, If that is want you want then use Anydvd or Dvdfab to rip to hard drive.
