    I downloaded a movie which is in 2 pieces. Each piece is a 700 MB AVI. But there is no sound on each one when I play it.

    I've tried different codecs such as divx 4.11, 4.12, 3.11 alpha, and angel potion, and none of them can restore sound.

    Can the sound be restored, or did the author of this divx make a mistake in creating it?

    it could be ogg or ac3 audio.
    i think codecs for they are included in the nimo codec pack, www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools.htm#codecs
