    I'm capping Hi-8 in VDUB with the codecia codec. What are the best settings to optimize my captures with this codec?

    For NTSC: Capture as YUY2. Make sure Cedocida has YUY2 enabled as an input format. Set Aspect Ratio as appropriate (probably 4:3). When capturing as YUY2 that's all you need to set. For the Decoder I have it set to only output YUY2.

    Thanks Jagabo. Hi-8 seems pretty similar to SVHS. I've just never capped non DV tape in DV. The bulk of these tapes are for a friend that runs Mac OSX. I don't think HuffyUV or Lagarith runs on MAC.
