  1. Hi

I have four files which together (seem to) make up one mp4 file. The first file plays fine on VLC, but only up until a point (1/4 of the vid), while the other three seem to be unplayable. I've tried to merge/append them using Avidemux and YAMB, but no success.
Is there a way to combine the four files to make up the video as a whole?

    Thanks!

You could try join them with a file joiner like hjsplit, http://www.hjsplit.org/windows/ , and see how it works.

If that wont help then what happens when you try avidemux or yamb?

I tried hj-join, but still no luck. the files even have the .001, .002, .003 layout that hj-join requires, which made me think it would work, but no dice.

With avidemux I get an error when trying to append the 2nd/3rd/4th files to the first one. only the first file will open.
With YAMB I can line up the files to merge, but once I hit "Join" it gives me an error message re MP4Box crashing.
