  1. A DVDRip.Xvid.AC3 will not play in DVD on my standalone LG bd 350 Bluray player but will play on USB on that player and from the DVD drive of computer under VLC

Does anyone know why this is? File does not have Warppoints or Qpel. I can play it but am curious as to why it wil not play on the BD player

Offhand I'm not seeing anything in the file that stands out as a problem, but others will comment if I missed something. I would guess that either the LG simply doesn't support Divx playback from DVD or that it does but it has restrictions on the file system on the DVD. For example, maybe it will play Divx burned to DVD discs but you have to do the burn as ISO or ISO+Joliet and you did a UDF burn.

Hang on - I do notice that the video and audio have different durations by 7 minutes. That's definitely bad. I can't say that this is your problem but that's definitely bad. The video duration seems to be the wrong one.

It's probably not the video as it works from the usb connection.

Can you select the avi from the blu-ray player? Or does it not list any files? If so how how do you burn the file? You might have to burn in mixed UDF/ISO mode.

And some blu-ray players does not support avi from cd/dvd/bd media.

    edit:too slow...

Do the specs of this Blu Ray player SAY it will play an xvid file burned as data to a DVD? Many Xvid/Divx capable DVD players specifically listed playing Xvid/Divx files only from USB.

If you mean the DVD player as distinct from the USB? I select data. I see the file name. But when I press play nothing happens
