Muxing with mkvmerge

Hi guys...
I muxed .mkv videos with subtitles using mkvmerge to make softsub video file.when i play this on my sony blue-ray player,i cant forward/rewind the movie,it hangs.but when i do the same muxing for .avi/.mp4 files,no problem in forwarding/rewinding it.pls help me out as lot of my movie collection are .mkv.

Try enabling the "disable header removal compression..." option and remux.

@jagabo:I can forward/rewind now after trying ur suggestion.but the video is distorted in every 5min intervals(like when we press slow motion button).
PS:-I had this prob b4 trying ur suggestion also.

Did your mkv file come with chapters? If so, deselect them with mkvmerge and again remux using compression as none.

Because it's not using compatible settings . Usually what you describe is caused from long keyframe interval . It needs to be re-encoded.
