Is it possible to change the resolution on VOBs without re converting them ?

  2. And if you do want to change the resolution of VOBs from 720x480 to something else, the chances are very good they'll no longer be DVD compliant (there are a few other allowed resolutions) and can't be made back into a DVD.

Maybe you want to change the DAR, the way they're displayed? That doesn't require reencoding if, for example, you want to change the VOBs from 4:3 to 16:9.

Not screen size. But something like 16:9 to 4:3

  4. You can change the flagged aspect ratio without reencoding. But unless the AR is flagged wrong and you're correcting it the video will be distorted.
