  1. I converted a home-made AVI to VOB then managed to create working IFO and BUP files with IFO-Edit, noticing that the file needed to be renamed in order for IFO-Edit to recognize the converted file. I renamed it as VTS_01_1.VOB. Clicking on the first IFO file, the video plays back fine. Now I'd like to merge three converted AVIs, each are identical in format.

What steps do I follow to create an IFO file set to play back three VOBs in succession, like they are merged?

Converted it to VOB how ? A proper conversion to VOB would create the IFO and BUP files by authoring a correct structure. Simply converting to VOB doesn't guarantee DVD compliance.

Use a real authoring app. DVDStyler can open vob files and author a real dvd with all files. No reconversion.

  4. I used 'XMedia Recode' to convert the AVI to VOB. Unlike apps like VSO's ConvertXtoDVD or "AVS Video Converter', XMedia Recode does not create the associated IFOs and BUPs. Can DVDStyler create IFOs?
