how do i apply subtitles to a video in different colors?

Using Gabest's Textsub, and also notepad, to make subtitles in a video i made with virtualdub. It works great, but i wanna apply different colors for the text. Please give me info on what to do to accomplish this.

You could try make ssa/ass subtitles with fonts and colors using substation alpha or aegisub. THen I don't know if textsub will support it. Or else can you use avidemux to add the ssa subs.
