When playing video clips direct from you tube or Google video, when I switch to full screen I am getting a blank (black)screen but still get the audio so the video is obviously still working. When I switch back to normal size picture is fine.
This is happening to around 70 percent of clips. The remainig videos on both You Tube and Google videos are normal and still giving picture on full screen.
This has only started happening today and I have changed nothing about the way I view videos.
Hope you can help
Ray

What browser are you using?
You could try an uninstall/restart computer/reinstall of Adobe Flash player to see if that helps - the current version is 10.3.181.34.
Uninstaller: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe
Internet Explorer: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
All other browsers: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exeLast edited by mike20021969; 4th Aug 2011 at 14:46.

Mike I believe I'm using IE8.
I'm going to try the uninstall/re install Adobe flash player you suggest.
Thanks for your help

Hi again Mike
I have tried uninstall/reinstall to no avail. Have you or anyone else got any more suggestions please?

Right-click on the video and select Settings, on the Display tab untick "enable hardware acceleration".

Moviegeek you have solved it!! thank you so much.
I was looking at some other posts from people suffering same/similar problem and this seems to be an issue with the latest version of Flash player but you have come up with the answer.
Thanks again

If that solves the problem, you might look here for an explanation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_overlay
Turning off hardware acceleration will give you lower video performance, but it's good for a test, just not a good long range solution.
