I am having trouble getting this converter to work. I put ffmpeg in the folder like it told me to & it is still saying it can not read the ffmpeg path & I even tried changing the folder to make sure it matches the path & it still will not convert

If you installed Avanti in say "C:\program files\avanti", there should be a folder named ffmpeg there. You need to copy FFmpeg to that folder, so e.g. to "C:\program files\avanti\ffmpeg".

Also use a recent FFmpeg version. Not one included with an other app.

I advice the latest Sherpya build from here http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php

    EDIT:

If you run Windows 7 x64, you have to install Avanti in the "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder.

Download the top most FFmpeg version from here ...

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayer-win32/files/FFmpeg/

and the libfaac dll from here ...

    http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer/misc/libfaac-1.28.7z

You'll have to put them both in the Avanti\ffmpeg folder.

The second link is telling me

You don't have permission to see this document or more likely you are trying to download a file that is linked from another site

I go to on the page

faac encoder faac encoder is not included in MEncoder and FFmpeg package due to licensing problems, you should download separately this archive and unpack the dll (with e.g. 7zip) in the directory in which the executable lies (as shown in the picture).

& it is also telling me

You don't have permission to see this document or more likely you are trying to download a file that is linked from another site, please go to the Main Page

I have no problems with downloading from that link.

No administration rights problem here. Never saw that until now. Oh well I guess I will find an alternative program. The only other way is if you uploaded for me a zip with Avanti & everything I needed in its proper place already
