I have read many forum posts on how to covert .ts from a Humax pvr to a more widely compatible format and so far this is the solution i have come up with:
. Origional format is .ts (m2v/mp2)
. Demux with ProjectX.
. Remux the audio and video with ImagoMPEG-Muxer. (this solves sync issues in avidemux)
. Crop the ads with AVIDemux and save without changing the format.
. Use AutoGK to clean up(deinterlace/crop border) and encode to avi(XviD/Mp3)
While this works fine it is a bit of a chore. Can anyone suggest an alternative solution or (free)software to slipstram this process?
Thanks.

HUMAX VIDEO FILE COPY
Use the USB outlet to copy the video file to a memory stick or an externa hard drive
formed in FAT 32 . ( follow the " Opt+ " button on the zapper). A 1 hour video takes around wenty minutes
to copy .Plug the medium to a computer and copy the file into it .
Now you can process it to suit your needs . The XiliSoft and the WinFF converters work for
me then you can use the Sony Vegas editor . I have not experimened to find the best software
and proceedures .
I believe you can also transfer the files across the LAN . There is at least one good Humax
user group in english on the net .
