Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place. I am looking to buy a multi region VCR as a replacement for my old one. Any ideas please? It must play PAL M Brazilian tapes. Cheers.

Search google for multi system vcr.
I think,therefore i am a hamster. -
All European VCRs are multi-system. I've never seen a PAL VCR that couldn't handle all flavors or PAL.
-
Usually multi system vcr play pal, ntsc and secam,Sideburns57 didn't specify pal only since multi region region includes the other formats.

He's in England. What North Americans call a "multi-system VCR" is simply any VCR we can buy here in Europe. There are very few "PAL Only" VCRs left in the world. I've actually never seen one although my German inlaws may own one....theirs is OLD...

Thanks to all. To add to my possibly vague posting........I have had for 15 years (not bad, eh!) a Samsung multi region (as I call it anyway) VCR - bought for the sole purpose of playing in colour Brazilian PAL M tapes. And in the unlikely event of their being another out there - I need to have it! Many thanks again for your time in contributing.

Yes, I am in the process of doing that - I want to put them on the DVD in colour though.

I forgot what a FREAK PAL M Brazil really is:

It looks like you've got your work cut out for you. You may have an expensive converting VCR in your future. -
Fortunately I made good progress copying circa 200 of them before my special old VCR started to cough! I never said it was easy............if any people can help it is the hombres here!

.............the only of the 10 South American countries to speak Portuguese and the only one with PAL M! If it wasn't for soccer/futebol/football I would not be searching!

I used to own an Aiwa HV-MX100:

Great machine. Not cheap but NOT $900. -
Thanks.
I won't be buying it at 900 dollars! I am keen but not desperate! -
