  1. Hi. My Western Digital TV Live Hub doesn't play WMV8 so I've been converting such files to avi or mp4 using xmediarecode and the results have been perfect. Until now. Can anyone suggest why the following file:
    a) took so long (100 minutes) to convert, and
    b) was unwatchable being so blocky and choppy (same whether I converted to avi or mp4).

    Many thanks for your replies.

Easiest is just to try convert with something else, try the free freemake video converter.

If still same problem try "repair"/open the wmv in asfbin, make a new wmv and then try convert it.
