Hi, has anyone a hack for a Sony DVP-SR90 to enabling multi-region viewing?

I have a one for all remote and have tried setting keys 1,2,3,4,5 with codes got from the web and it does seem to power the dvd player on and off but it is still not able to view dvds from the US.

    Any help, greatly appreciated

Take it back and buy another player. Sony players are extremely difficult to hack. Might look for an off brand that can do what you want to do...I did...

Is this the O4A codes you used?
Some of the hacks had 225 instead of 255 for button 2.
    Thanks to JennyB for this

1 Hold Magic until the light around OK flashes twice
2 Select dvd using the arrows on the top of the remote
3 Type 0533 - I think the light around OK flashed twice.

The remote then works to power the DVP on and off. Next:

    1 Hold Magic (blink blink)
    2 994 (blink blink)
    3 Press Magic
    4 001891 (blink blink)

    1 Hold Magic (blink blink)
    2 994 (blink blink)
    3 Press Magic
    4 002552 (blink blink)

    1 Hold Magic (blink blink)
    2 994 (blink blink)
    3 Press Magic
    4 000953 (blink blink)

    1 Hold Magic (blink blink)
    2 994 (blink blink)
    3 Press Magic
    4 002214 (blink blink)

    1 Hold Magic (blink blink)
    2 994 (blink blink)
    3 Press Magic
    4 000795 (blink blink)

Then from standby with no DVD loaded:
    1 Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the DVP turns on
    2 Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the DVP turns off.

  4. ok, this worked....but after I turned the DVD off at the mains, and turned it back on, the DVD was region encoded again? do I have to leave the DVD plugged in all the time?

The only thing I did different was here:

Then from standby with no DVD loaded:
    1 Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the DVP turns on
    2 Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and the DVP turns off.

For me: Step 1, my DVD player turned off & step 2 turned it on...is standby mode when the DVD player is off, but still plugged in? sorry, I'm being a noob here:P I don't know if that has any bearing on anything, anyway...I can live with leaving it plugged in, was just wondering if I'd gone wrong somewhere....any help appreciated
