    Dear all!
Last month, I downloaded Mozart: Magic Flute from TPB ... and it was a VIDEO_TS folder with so many VOB files in it.
Now, in order to save some space in my HDD, I wish to convert it to MKV(AVC) or H264 ... because some said H264's better.
Firstly, I used FormatFactory and reduce the original bitrate in a half.
    *** Example: Original: 5000kbps ... I reduced it to 2400kbps.
But the picture's sharpness is drastically decrease.
So I set the bitrate to default. But the decrease remains drastically. So I googling and asking people. They recommend me to used Avidemux and Handbrake and give Pavtube a try ... but the result is the same.
So I back to FormatFactory and set the Video Size to 50% ... and the decreased are disappeared. But the new problem comes ... there is a black area within the display's Right-Left-Above-Below.
Why? Somebody please guide me ...
    Thanx.

Sorry for my english ... hope everybody are able to understand what I mean.
    Thank you.

Open the dvd folder in handbrake or staxrip or xvid4psp and convert. They will autocrop black borders. I have never got any bad results using those.

Just look it in a glance ...
Within Guide #1 ... I see we are capable to make a 1 (one) big MKV file from VIDEO_TS' folder
I'm very happy for that ... will give it a try tonight ... thank you for your guidance.

  8. HandBrake gonna produce high quality output if selected codec is configured properly as compared to XMedia Recode which has poor bitrate control.

Yup! As long as the ... codec is configured properly ... it should be better.
But how can I know if the codec is configured properly?
Would you mind to guide me?
    Thank you.
