I used Handbrake to convert a 4.31 GB mkv to a 1.93 GB m4v for use with iTunes and iPhone 4. It took several hours but it came out perfect, except for the fact that there's no audio. Any ideas why this would happen?

Any possibility the audio was set to an empty audio channel?

I don't know. I'm fairly novice and don't know how to determine that.

Here's what it says under audio:

Have you tried playing the converted video on a separate media player, like VLC? If you don't hear any sound with VLC, it's likely the sound track is missing/silent. If you hear the audio, then it's probably out of spec. for the iPhone4.

Can you open the converted video with mediainfo? Go to View>Text, and copy/paste the details here.

Thanks for the replies guys, but I decided to try and convert it again with Any Video Converter. That worked fine, so I'm not gonna bother trying to figure out what the issue was. Thanks!
