  2. Are you talking about a flash player for your web site? Not really sure what you are asking. Flash players come free on most windows computers. Some Apple stuff can't play Flash (iPhones, ipods).

  4. Flowplayer is free, lots of options and lots of community support . Another one is jw media player

    http://flowplayer.org/
    http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/

Both have commercial options and licensing ($) depending on how you plan to use them on your site

  5. Just upload your vid to vimeo or youtube and imbed the code they give you. Lots easier then messing around with players on your website and it saves you gobs of bandwidth. If you don't like the ads then pay the small amount of $ that they ask and be done with it. I use vimeo for all of my websites but there are many other vid streaming sites to choose from. You can use this website: http://kareltests.co.uk/ to see the alternatives to YouTube.

  6. If you want to provide some kind of stream video server, I think it is very easy to create a flv player flex widget. You can try that one. Maybe you can find some programmer to make one for you. And it will be not complicated. And I heard that html5 already supports the online video. You can consider this idea. :P
