I have been trying to burn an HD movie from my camcorder to my Bluray with Pinnacle. Right now it is giving me a hard time. I am trying to get the disc to record as 1080p and it is coming out as 1080i. Please help me. I have gone through 5 Bluray Disc already and still not going anywhere. Thanks!

Did you shoot interlaced footage ?
or maybe you set up the program for 1080i timeline ? -
Explain the camcorder model and shooting mode.
Why 1080p? Since most AVCHD camcorders shoot 1080i?
I rather doubt Pinnacle Studio can handle 24p.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I have a Panasonic HDC-TM700 and recording mode was set to 1080/60P.
I was able to make my first recording at 1080p. But at was not able to get the setting on my second, third, forth, and fifth try. I can see the color is much more vibrant with 1080p than 1080i. -
First question. Does Pinnacle studio support 1920x1080p 59.94?
There should be no difference in "color" for 1080i vs 1080pRecommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I went through that and I just saw it does not. But did I some how got lucky with my first one?

First a primmer.
AVCHD is usually 1440x1080 60i or 1920x1080 60i (aka full HD). Pinnacle studio should handle both.
Alternate frame rates are telecined "24p" which is low motion sampled and needs camera stabilization (tripod or steadycam) plus other film school technique. Then the footage needs to be inverse telecined for "24p" editing.
The HDC-TM700 adds a 1920x1080 60p (59.94p actual) mode for faster motion sampling (2.5x faster motion sampling vs. "24P"). This is outside the AVCHD spec. Panasonic should list supported editing software. Most Pro level edit software can be configured for 59.94p at various resolutions.
Sorry to report, Blu-Ray does not support 1920x1080 60p (59.94p). Max "60p" is 1280x720.
Explain what you are trying to do.

I just want to move the files to BD and be able to watch it continuously on my PS3 or any bluray player. I guess this is not possible. I can tell there is a color difference between the 2. Unless pinnacle compress it wrong and loses the quality.
