    As the title says I'm looking for an easy way to convert MKV profile 5.1 to MKV profile 4.1.

    Already tried:

    - H264Info -> doesn't even recognize the MKV files.
    - HandBrake -> took 4 hours to convert and 4gb MKV file.
    - H264LevelEditor -> doesn't work

    I think you have to extract the h264 video with for example mkvextractgui to use h264info and h264leveleditor. Then mux it back with mkvmergegui.

    But to make it REAL 4.1 you must reconvert with handbrake, uncropmkv, etc.

  3. I've had to do this a bit and simply re-encode using handbrake. sucks, but that's what happens when they aren't done right to begin with.

    Without trying to hijack, I can't seem to get an mkv out of handbrake at 4.1, only ever 4.0. I've searched until my fingers bled, but I cant find anything on how to get that result.

    Could someone please post here the details of the profile they use to get 4.1?

    Thanks

    Demux the .mkv with Tsmuxer, changing the level to 4.1.

    Remux with mkvmerge or if remux with TSmuxer if an .m2ts will work.

    Should take less than 5 minutes.
