Hi.
New here, and hoping there are people here who can decifer file formats. Hope this is the right place.
I've tried QuickTime, MPC and VLC but I still can't seem to play this MOV file.

Can anyone help me find the right program/plugin/codec to play, or even convert?

Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

The file in the archive is not a MOV file. It's not any type of video file. It may be another type of archive file.

.mov and jpeg hex data tags ... no mov atoms ...beyond that it's unknown.
Where did the file originate from ? -
It originates from a game called Timelapse. Was hoping I could just enjoy the movies and/or graphics without having to go through the puzzles again.
I took a look in a hex editor myself after lowell mentioned it. There is some form of header... LPPALPPA. But I guess since this is a mixed container it won't tell anyone much.

It's some proprietary wrapper around the video. Game developers do this all the time to keep you from ripping their videos.
