Hi Friends,
I have DVD-9 and I want to rip it to my HD using TMPGEnc Xpress then authoring it back to DVD-5 using TMPGEnc Authoring Work 4. I have tried many software but so far I found this one is the best quality for Video output. No matter what format I chosen it still give me almost 100% of output quality.
But the problem is that I can't get Audio to works right. I want 5.1 Channels but it always comes with 2 channels after I converted. I have tries all different format but it don't works.
My question is, Can TMPGEnc 4.7.7.307 XPress support output 5.1 Channels?
Below is one the format that I already tried to convert:

Why convert to mp4 first? You can import dvds directly in tmpgenc authoring works. Shrink with dvd shrink or dvd rebuilder instead.
Or is your mp4 the source? No, most converters can NOT convert 2 channel to 5.1 channel. -
Thanks for your help.
No my original source are on DVD9 so I converted it into MP4 by using TMPGEnc Xpress. I'm sure there is a 5.1 Channel on the DVD9 but I got only 2 channel output after I converted. No matter what format I choose I still get same result.
I used to burn this 2 channel output to DVD using TMPGEnc Authoring Works. When I play this DVD on my Sony Home Theater I found out that only the Front Left and Front Right speaker I can hear the sound comes out but other 4 speakers nothing. I already tried my original source on the same player it works I can hear the sound come from every speaker.
The reason I converted to MP4 because I want to take out everything from the original DVD. I just want to have only the main movie and one Audio (English language) and modify my own Subtitle in TMPGEnc Authoring Works.
I really don't care 2 or 5.1 channel now as long as I can get the sound as my original DVD is fine for me. I can't figure it out which software (TMPGEnc Xpress and TMPGEnc Authoring Works) is the case that cause the sound problem????
Any idea sir. Baldrick??? Thanks again for your help.
