I have the Godfather I ready to burn in AVCHD format, the only problem is that it is over 8.5 GB, which is the max for dual layer dvds. I was wondering if anybody knew of a way to maybe shrink the file a little so that it can fit? What would I do if I can not fit it all on to one disc? And if I did have to make it on multiple discs, how would I go about doing that using Imgburn?

    Thanks In Advance

MeGUI could be used to re-encode it down to dual layer size.

  3. I'd load it into BDRB. Here are the necessary "helper" applications in case you haven't used it before:

Run inspect.exe (in the BDRB folder) to make sure all settings are correct.

    1) Load the files.
    2) Look for any audio streams you don't need and deselect them. If you can do that, your AVCHD files will fit.
    3) If #2 doesn't apply, can you live with movie only? That might do it.
    4) If #2 and #3 don't apply, re-encode the audio to smaller size.
    4) If none of the above will work, re-encode to BD9 target size.

    Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

I forgot that BDRB can produce DVD-5 and DVD-9 output. This is a better idea than mine. I do have one suggestion. If you have 2 or more hard disks it's generally better to have BDRB send the output to a different drive than the one the source lives on. It's more inclined to freeze the PC if you write to the same drive as the source.
