Hey,
I have a somewhat technical query, which i hope someone can assist with. The question is in the context of an xvid encode.
When a first pass stat file is being used to do a second pass encode, to what extent is the encoder looking at the first pass stat file. i.e. whilst the second pass is encoding, is it:
Thanks in advance.
- Looking at the whole of the stat file infront of the frame until the very end; or
- Is it only looking a certain number of frames ahead (e.g. 300 frames).

I believe it has to examine the entire stats file at the start of the second pass. Then reads through the file frame by frame while encoding.
