  1. Hi,

I have this annoying problem on just on of my PCs.

When I play any .mov file through quicktime it is blocky/pixelated. If I play it through say Windows Media Player it's fine.

The problem is that I need to re-encode it and when I use VirtualDub or another media converter it shows all pixelated in them too. So I need to find out why its doing this.

I have uninstalled all codecs in case it was something dodgy that was being used to play it back. Updated video card drivers, updated quicktime but nothing seems to solve it. I've tried different mov files from different sources. However they all play fine on my other PC's.

    Any help much appreciated!

  3. Uninstall Quicktime. It is full of problems and has the most inefficient player. Use Haali as your MOV/MP4 reader/splitter and ffdshow for any codecs uses in MOV/MP4 files.

  5. Mpeg Streamclip uses Quicktime so it's probably going to have the same problems.
