    I'm trying to make the simplest possible DVD menu in Encore/Photoshop and I'm stuck with subpictures.

    This is how my Photoshop file looks, with layers etc.


    This is how it looks in Encore with "Selected Subpicture Highlight" option turned on.


    Why is it overlaying the original button? Any suggestions welcome, I only want to achieve this simple effect, a red square under menu buttons, when selected. Possibly to turn from red to orange when I press the menu button, but I wish to get this thing worked out first.

    Change the opacity of the subpicture hightlight layer in photoshop to ~50% .
