  1. I'm using vegas pro 8.0

I start with HD mts files, that I filmed with my camcorder, I want to edit them and put them in youtube so I render them as WMV in 1080p, after the file is finished and I view it on my computer its not even close to HD and fuzzy and distorted, here is an example

What am I missing? Why are the videos no longer HD?

    thanks

hard to know what went wrong without knowing all the settings you used to render with.

youtube prefers mp4 with aac or mp3 audio. vegas 8 may have avc setings you could use like the ones in vegas 9 and 10. look in the sony avc encoder section for the internet 30p preset. adjust to 720p or 1080p and up the bitrate to 5000kbps or more and try uploading that.

The problem is the camera and the person using it.

your right, I realize that now, I didn't take into account that the camera wasn't being held steady, and this camera is really bad for filming indoors and any footage becomes grainy, its a cheap camera and I'm new to filming
