  1. Hi.

Lately, I have been downloading and converting episodes of the ABC drama ALIAS, and I have noticed the same thing whenever I convert and burn VCDs- the downloaded AVI file could look absolutely beautiful, but when I convert that file to an MPEG and burn it to a CD, there is artifacting and pixelation all over the place, especially in blacks.

Is there something I am doing wrong? I am using TMPGEnc to convert, and Nero to burn. Are there some options I can change to fix my little problem? Is it something I am doing wrong?

When I go to convert, I usually just load up default VCD settings.

    Any help would be apriciated.

  3. you might want to try to tweak the settings or dl some of the templates on this site instead of using default or using vcdeasy instead of nero. You also should mention exactly what you are doing as well as your computer specs so others here can help you. I'm just a newbie so I can't provide alot of advice.
