I am working on a Machinima project. My problem is that my computer by itself can't play Portal and Capture the video at a good enough frame rate.
I have 2 computers that can run the game well enough. My thought was to play on one and capture on the other. (Cheeper than buying a computer that can do both.) Is there an external piece of hardware that can solve my Problem?
Thanks
Toby

That's pretty ambitious. There's nothing in the consumer region that will capture 1080p. If the computer playing the game has the ability to output 1080i (HDMI or component video) you can use use a Black Magic Intensity Pro, a Hauppauge HD PVR, or an AverTV HD DVR. That's pretty much it for HD capture
