  1. So, I downloaded a file, and the audio's been over-filtered (the noise removal filter was set too high). Is there any way to fix this via editing/mixing?

    Depends what the actual damage is, but chances are not great. You can't really put back what you don't have, but you might be able to put a littl emore life into it with careful EQ work.
