    Hi everyone,

I've just moved to the US from Australia and have a big collection of PAL, Region 4 DVDs. I'd love to be able to play them on my next Blu-Ray player.

PAL playback has been an exhaustive to read up on so I am still wondering, what are the best Blu-Ray players to can achieve this? I just want a good, solid Blu-Ray player that demonstrably handles PAL, multiregion DVDs well.

Thanks in advance for your expertise, it's much appreciated.

I have two Oppos, the DV970 and the BDP83, both do an exceptional job on PAL discs. Sadly, for you, both are discontinued. I understand that the Oppo BDP93 is as good as or better than the BDP83; I do not know at this point whether or not it can be converted to multi region as the BDP83 can. It's a costly machine but as many have pointed out before me, you get what you pay for.
