  1. I want to know some basics about conversion.

    1. Does only bit-rate matter to output file size or resolution too?

    2. For 640*360 what is optimal bit-rate? I am currently using 2mb for mpeg4 (h263), is it enough, less or overkill?

    Thanks.

    1. Only bitrate.
    2. Overkill. Around 1Mbit would be enough.

  3. thanks.

what i understand that if I need higher resolution then I have to increase the bitrate and for lower resolutions low bit rates are good.

is there any res to bitare chart?

  4. Bits per pixel

    Its saying

0.20 - 0.25: It will look really good.
    0.25 - 0.30: It won't really improve visually.

so i think 1.5mb is enough for my resolution in most cases.

but again 1.5mb would be enough for movies like avatar, transformers etc?
