  1. I have been a serious amateur photographer since the mid '80s.
I have relatively recently moved to digital from film.
I needed a water resistant still camera for the many water based activities I participate in.
So, I added a Pentax W60 to my quiver.
    It has a video mode.
I have played with it a small amount and am intrigued by the possibilities of video.
Although, this is not the camera to do serious work with.

The Sony NEX-VG10 has caught my attention because of its still photo and interchangeable lens abilities.

So, my question, hopefully someone can answer it:
I have 2 high quality Sigma f2.8 zoom lenses covering 28mm to 200mm,
plus a Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens, all are in a Nikon AF mount.
If I can get the mounts changed to Konica/Minolta A-mounts, they should be able to work on the Sony with the LA-EA1 adapter, right?
Or, am I off in la-la land?

That isn't really a video question. You might get a better answer in a Sony NEX-VG10 user forum. Or ask in relation to this dpreview review

This weekend I read a review on this camcorder. Be aware it uses consumer AVCHD format. Sony obviously wants you to buy their proprietary lenses.

So then I searched for E-Mount adapters and found some for Nikon. Not sure if they work.

The 23.4 x 15.6 mm sensor means that only the center portion of a 35mm camera lens will be used so f-stop will drop and and depth of field will expand.

Note that any successful adapter will lack auto focus, auto exposure, motorized zoom and may clip the corners off the image.
