    Hi,
I'm looking for a solid software to use for viewing video frame by frame.
I will use Canon T1i HD for video, And I won't be editing the video.
I'd be open to buying a cheap cam corder also.

I will use an HP laptop, play video by copying sd card contents to the laptop.

Purpose? I'm a Billiards Instructor and would like my students to see
the good and bad by video analysis.

    Thanks in advance.

Have a look at LongoMatch, which is designed for sports video analysis.

  3. VirtualDub. You'll probably need to download some of the source plugins too.
