  1. Hi,
I have a Samsung UNC40C6400 LED TV, and it plays all the MKV's I have thrown at it so far, really nicely.
But I just decided to watch downloaded Anime shows on it, (they look amazing with the Auto motion Plus
    (fake 120hz thingy)
But the subtitles won't show. Now as far as I can tell, Samsung have compatibility with most if not all subs
except for .ass format subs. Which sadly, tons of my Anime shows seem to use. I just want to kick back
and watch them in the bedroom and not in my office on the desktop!!

Is there a method (preferably GUI) that I can convert the subs to say srt, and somehow swap those with the
.ass ones that my TV doesn't read?

Any help is greatly appreciated, I can use my Hacintosh or Windows 7.
    Thanks in advance!

Try Subtitle Edit. It can open subs directly in mkv files. Save as srt. Add to the mkv with mkvmergegui or it might be it enough to just name name them like video.mkv and video.srt.
