Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a way I can play basic video files on my SD card through my Panasonic DMP-BD65. It seems the blu-ray player only plays back videos on a memory card that was created by a digital camcorder.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

SD Memory Card - AVCHD, MPEG2, JPEG -
Thanks for the info, but I knew this info already. When I tried playing a MPEG2 video file I, it didn't even show up on the menu. So when I read the manual, it said on page 16 that,"It is not possible to playback AVCHD and MPEG2 video which have been dragged and dropped, copied and pasted to the media". After a bit research, I discovered the blu-ray player can only play back AVCHD and MPEG2 files that have been created by a digital camcorder. In other words, the camcorder has to write the files to the memory card. But my question is, is there a way I can make a basic MPEG2 file appear to be a MPEG2 file created from a camcorder so that my blu-ray player can recognize it and play it?

The link http://multiavchd.deanbg.com/ seems to be down. Can you encapsulate what they said? Thanks!

The site was working earlier. But basically, the free software converts basic video files into AVCHD files that a blu-ray player can play. You can find out more about the software here. https://www.videohelp.com/tools/multiAVCHD . You can also download it directly from there.
