    Hi folks.
I've been trying to not only extract but "Delete" a second language audio file from an MKV file using MKVcleaver.
It does extract and create an audio file in the output directory but does not delete it from the MKV file.
The reason I need to do this is because when I convert the MKV to DVD it no longer has a choice for english, only Hindi which I do not understand!
Anyone know how I can delete the Hindi audio or at least convert to DVD with the choice between English or Hindi languages ?
    Thanks for any help.
    Wally.

Because you picked high quality (slow) settings ? Because your computer is old and slow ?

I can think of two simpler solutions.

    1. AVStoDVD - load up the MKV file and select the English audio instead of the Hindi audio, and let it do it's thing. A hour or so later you will have your DVD, instead of re-encoding the mkv over 15 hours (or more), then still having to create a DVD.

    2. mkvextractGUI/mkvtoolnix - extract the video and English audio streams. Mkvmerge to create a new mkv file with just these streams. Create DVD using conversion tool of choice.

Use mkvmergegui to remove it. Save as a new mkv.

    Handbrake will reconvert the video.

Actually it's a 2.6 GHz with a gig of RAM and a SATA drive so I,m guessing it might be the quality of vid I chose. Default actually.

Sorry Baldrick. I used MKVMergeGUI also and it would not remove the audio permanently.
I tried both checking and unchecking the box and had the same problem.

Which is why I suggested the two step process - extract just the streams you want first, then create a new file with just those streams. Should only take a few minutes.
