I'm fairly new at the demuxing process, but I've been having issues singling out the dts-hd master audio track from the m2ts file within the bluray stream folder. I use tsmuxer 1.10.6 and leave the downconvert dts-hd to dts box unchecked. After the demuxing process, the audio file has a .dts extension rather than .dtshd. Mediainfo shows two bitrates, one for Master and one for core. However when playing the file from mpc, it plays only the core at 1509 kbps.
  • 4 questions:
  1. Does the .dts file exension vs .dtshd even matter?
  2. Shouldn't the master audio be playing closer to 2500 kbps?
  3. Do I need to use other software to take advantage of the master audio?
  4. If I remux audio & video files back into bluray structure (BDMV/Certificate) will my receiver play the master audio (it does support it and I'm using HDMI)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
