Everytime I try to convert in xvid4psp I end up with a message saying that x264.exe has crashed. And not just with one file type, it happens with .mkv, .avi, .mp4. etc. It worked fine for months until it randomly stopped working a couple of days ago. I hadn't even installed anything new. Security Center also randomly stopped working but I'm not sure if that's related. I don't have any viruses as I've scanned with Malwarebytes, avast!, Hitman Pro, Combo Fix, and Spybot. My registry is clean, my temp files are cleared out. I have no idea what could have gone wrong.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, AMD Athlon X2 4400+, NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, with 3GB RAM. I know it can't be an incompatibility with my hardware because it worked for months before. My UAC is on but I don't think that's relevant as again, it worked before.

Here's a log in case it helps.

And for the record, I've tried several versions of xvid4psp: r132 unofficial, as well as every official version.

Also I've tried different profiles and output formats.

And if this has been solved before I don't want any crap about it. I looked around, ran a search, etc and found nothing helpful.

Oh and no way in hell will I format my PC. I'd simply give up if I have to do that.

Also I don't want to hear about alternatives for converting anime with subtitles unless you have something equally as simple and effective that preserves formatting, I already have an alternative it just doesn't preserve the formatting.

I would guess it's something wrong with a video decoder/codec. xvid4psp uses avisynths directshowsource and it uses your installed decoders. Maybe try uninstall all codec packs/etc and reinstall ffdshow.

alas that was one of the first things I tried.

I'll try an encode using avisynth without xvid4psp, I was having trouble importing audio earlier with bassaudiosource but I fixed it. However I like xvid4psp because it converts straight to my desired format usually without much hassle or loss of quality. Plus it can do batch conversions in a couple of clicks.

EDIT: And we have success. It's clearly nothing wrong with the decoders, it's probably a problem with the encoder. But what perplexes me is why it suddenly stopped working despite working flawlessly before.

EDIT2: Well now that's peculiar. It started working again after I ran another Auslogic, guess it was just a disc error causing my problems. I guess.. problem solved? And if it stops working again I have my very roundabout alternative, haha.
