I'm fumbling around with my first attempts to use MediaCoder to convert .mkv to .mpg for standard dvd burning. I can't register on the MediaCoder forum to ask there due to the "illegible captcha' barrier".
After a few attempts I've managed to output an .mpg with a fair video bit rate. But it never contains any audio. The transcode gets to 100% then says there's an error. So I have to manually demux the audio from the .mkv and mux it into the .mpg then author. Which kills most of the speed advantage of CUDA.
I'm hoping I can at least get one working profile to take 16x9 mkv and perhaps m2ts and output a dvd5. The throughput is good with CUDA and the video output doesn't look bad. I just want to get away from doing all these manual steps.
Anyone know the trick to MediaCoder settings? I have audio, 448 kbit ac3, enabled and set to Copy. But it never copies.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!
