Hello:
I bought a usb microscope that creates insane huge files (9GB per video) and i can't manage them with any program to make the videos smaller.
I try: VLC, MPEG StreamClip and HandBrake but all these applications can't manage a file so huge, can anyone give me a clue?
Maybe you could tell me about other applications or utilities.
Best regards,
Julio
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

first, give indos about your source file ( mediainfo can help to know its contents)
and second, what do you want to do with it? see it on …(computer, TV with DVD, TV with BluRay, etc)
byeFor DVD, iPad, HD, connected TV, … iMovie & FCPX? MovieConverter-Studio 3 (01/24/2015) - Handle your camcorder's videos? even in 60p or 60i? do a slow-motion? MovieCam. -
This is what i got from Media Info:
General: 9.20 GiB, 53mn 32s
1 Video stream: YUV
24.6 Mbps 640*480 (4:3), at 30.000 fps, YUV
I want to put the video on Youtube
Best regards,

good news for you: YUV is a not compressed format
so find a soft that handled it and you will gain a lot of disk space
PS: the concern is not the size, it's the video codec, so you have to use a compatible video decoder first.
I don't know which soft handles YUV so here is a tutorial wih ffmpeg…
Code:Download the app in my sign launch it (not to use it but for its extra installations ;)) when installations are ended, you can quit my soft (-snif-) launch Terminal.app (located in /Applications/Utilities) in its window, copy and paste WITHOUT QUOTES: "~/Library/Application\ Support/MovieConverter/ffmpeg -f yuv4mpegpipe -r 30:1 -s 640x480 -i " (now you have to drop your video file -from Finder- on the terminal window. Once done, continue to copy'n'paste the end of the sentence) " -b 20M -vcodec mpeg4video -y -an ~/Desktop/myMicroscopeVideo.mp4"
if not
- check the copy'n'paste (maybe a mistake? …spaces are important too )
- report the text from the terminal window
I'm not sure it will work, but should…
