Do you think the larger size LCD TV such as 60 inches Sony KDL-60EX500 is better than 55 inches KDL-55EX500 or the small size is better?

We don't know the size or layout of the viewing room. We don't know what your budget is. However, you know these things, coody. Make a decision for yourself.

Go big.
Not many regret buying an HDTV because it's too big. More people regret going too small. JMO.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
If you sit less than about 8 feet away go for the smaller set. Otherwise the larger.

Size is only one of the parameters to a quality picture.
Why do you think you can get a $499 50" and a $2599 42".
Do you think there may be more to it than size?Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I am worry about the motion blur. The motion blur in a big LCD TV may be more noticeable than in the small LCD TV. How do you think about it?

Motion blur is not an issue with current LCD HDTVs and normal video. You can really only see it in test patterns.

Although they noted obvious motion blur with test patterns...
The conclusions from everyone that participated in the Shoot-Out were consistent across the board and will likely surprise most consumers: there was essentially no visually detectable motion blur on any of the LCD HDTVs in all of the extensive live video content that we assembled. When people thought they saw motion blur, with only a handful of minor exceptions, the blur was either in the source video or a temporary visual illusion that disappeared when the segments in question were reviewed.Last edited by jagabo; 11th Dec 2010 at 09:26.

THX recommends:
Divide the size of your screen by .84 (screen size is measured diagonally). For example, a 65-inch TV divided by .84 equals a 77-inch viewing distance (6.5 feet).
If you're going to watch a lot of SD you will want to go smaller though.Last edited by jagabo; 11th Dec 2010 at 11:07.
