    Hi All,

    My setup is as follows:

    1. Server is windows 2008 R2 Web Server with the Media Server role.
    2. Client is Windows 7 with Media Player 12.
    3. Video files are created by a DVR Dev Kit from Texas Instruments (details below)
    Format : MPEG-4 Visual
    Codec ID : M4S2
    Codec ID/Hint : Microsoft
Description of the codec : ISO MPEG-4 VIDEO, V2
    Duration : 17mn 30s
    Bit rate : 616 Kbps
    Frame rate : 20.000 fps

    The problem is as follows:
When i stream the video files to my player, they intially play fine, but after 4 mintues the video streaming stops and media player gives the following error:

"Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file".

The error always happens around the 4 minute mark, nomatter where the video starts playing from. If i re-encode the video stream using FFMPEG and the msmpeg4v2 codec, the problem goes away. Unfortunately re-encoding the video is not a viable solution for the product I am developing, so the solution is to find out what is wrong with the video stream to tackle the problem there. I honestly have no Idea where to even start with that. What I do know is that I notice a message from FFMPEG when re-encoding the video stream that reads:

    "[msmpeg4v2 @ 030462f0] warning, clipping 1 dct coefficients to -127..127"

Any help would be much appreciated.
