  1. I just want to ask this simple question. Is there any portable voice recorder that can connect to a line-in and capture what's heard from the source plus environment audio?

There are lots of digital voice recorders that can transfer over USB connection. (No need for an audio Line-in port, since it is not analog.) The question is, what kind of file do you need, and what sort of use will it be for? You can get something as basic as the Sony ICD-P17 (or other Sony ICD series models) or a more pro-level device like the Zoom H4.

  3. No actually what i want is call recording from my mobile phone. So i need for some way to get the sound from my mobile out through the line out plus i need to record what i'm saying.

So for example if i use the headphone just of my phone and connect it to a linein on a voice recorder on the other end using a male-to-male cable i can get what is said from one end but i cant record what i would be saying.

In that case you need to "mix" the audios first.

Recorders will only record one source at a time, usually.
