hi i have a samsung tv and it plays via USB .mkv coded H264, level @4.1.

the problem is that i have some files level @5.1

i read your forum and i find a way to convert it to 4.1 : extract video file with mkvmerge (take minutes) and convert it to 4.1 with h264info. but it take many hours/days. i just have a amd 3200+.

so. is there a way to make it in minutes or at least an hour? just to leave everything intact and convert from @5.1 to @4.1.
can mkvmerge do that when remuxing via comandline or something .ini files?

    thanks.

    thanks!

it works. it took about 5 minutes.

i use this command to special build:
ffmpeg -i infile -vcodec copy -acodec copy -vbsf h264_changesps=level=41 outfile.mkv

    great tool.

    yes. everything was ok. thanks.

also, someone told me about IDC Multi Changer. Tried it and it works too. converted from 5.1 to 4.1. It make the change instantly. even if mkvinfo report file to be @5.1, the TV play the file.
