  1. I've been playing with some mkv and found problems playing H264 (normal, level 4.1) profile video in MKV on the BD-C5300 player. Instead muxing the same video to mp4 worked without problems.. I created the MKV using mkvtoolnix and the mp4 using Yamb.

    I previously had tested xvid in mkv which worked fine. Was wondering whether anyone had succeeded with H264 in MKV as the latter doesn't play for me. I'm testing on a usb stick not a burnt dvd.
    I didn't succeed with idx subs in the mp4 though.

    Try create the mkv with mkvtoolnix 3.4.0 or turn OFF header compression in mkvtoolnix 4.4.0.

  4. I configured mkvmerge like you suggested and the mkv played. Still no go with the vobsub type subtitles (derived by makemkv) but that's some other problem I guess.
