    Hi,

    My Problem:

Having read 'Baldrick's' post on using MPC to adjust audio delay issues, I thought I'd try it. His thread is here:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/311331-How-to-fix-audio-out-of-sync-in-a-DVD-withou...y-reconverting

Trouble is on some files the playback picture is very dark. These same files play fine on PowerDVD 5. I would like to get it to work properly, but well enough to use it for audio adjustments would be okay. At the moment, it's even too dark for that - playback is very red. I am running it on XP SP3. Monitor settings seem okay for all other projects.
Power DVD seems quite tolerant of most files. If it helps, I've have the same problem with dark playback with the on board WMP.

I found this on the net: how to brighten playback on MPC:
    http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/17248.aspx?image=4886
but I can't find the brightness adjustment under 'Options - Misc' in v. 6.4.9.1. Where has it gone?

    My Solution:

    Open MPC
    Under View - Options,
Select 'Internal Filters' on right side is 'Transform Filters'
I selected (put a tick next) to AC3 and MPEG2.

You can also select source filters to play various types of file you want to play.
