I recently encoded a DVD to XVID using XVID4PSP (I also use FairUse Wizard, these are my 2 favorites). I used QC 2.0 and the resulting files was 1.5GB and looked great! If I had done a 1 pass bitrate encode using "Ultra" preset and adjusted the bitrate until the estimated output file size was 1.5GB, would I have ended with the same outcome?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Close. If you go through the two videos frame by frame and compare them you'll see minor differences here and there. It's not worth worrying about. But I recommend you try it and see for yourself.

Does half d1 alter file size at all or is it just how the bitrate is used?
