  1. Hi, I have been backing up some of my old blu rays using the "Rip Video DVD to hard disk" option of Anydvd HD, and everything has been going 100% fine. Today, I tried ripping a blu ray (from 2007) but I get this error message after 26%:

    Error Reading from drive D:!

Why is it doing this? I have tried it multiple times, but I get this error message after 26% every time I can PLAY the blu ray fine (in powerdvd.. provided I have anydvd running in the background).. but it won't let me rip the contents to my hdd

I tried using dvdfab8... but that also gives me an error message

What could the problem be? can you think of any solutions?

    thanks

i'd guess its a data error.

try cleaning the disk.. then try using a different drive, then try IsoPuzzle or ISObuster maybe..

  3. thanks for replying, I fully wiped the disc before attempting the rip but will try isopuzzle and isobuster too. Note that I'm currently trying it with makemkv, here's the latest log. Definitely some sort of error somewhere... :

update: makemkv has just failed too lol

I'd examine the disc closely for scratches. Players can ignore small dropouts, but a data transfer may stall on the same errors.
